The Upholstery Process
Strip down.
We will meticulously disassemble your furniture and strip away all of the original fabric.
Structure repair and inspection.
We will examine the structure, and any repairs needed will be made; joints will be glued, dowelled, tightened, or fastened as required.
Webbing and strings.
Any webbing and springs which need to be changed will be done so.
Rebuild.
Then we’ll start putting the layers back together.
Stuffing and padding are inspected and changed as needed.
Sewing and cutting.
Your selected fabric is measured, cut, and sewed to form with a repaired frame and cushioning.
Upholstery.
Depending on your preferences, the cloth outer shell is sewed together and attached to the structure using classic or contemporary upholstery techniques.
Cushions.
Finally, the cushion coverings are fitted with your selected cushion inside or original cushions.
